The short version

Seldom is a free game. Play it, enjoy it, share your scores. Don't try to cheat or break it. That's basically it.

Using Seldom

• Seldom is free to play and doesn't require an account.
• A new puzzle is available every day at midnight UTC.
• Everyone gets the same puzzle on the same day.
• You get 5 guesses per puzzle. Invalid answers don't count as guesses.
• Your scores may appear in anonymous aggregate statistics visible to other players.

Fair play

Please don't:

• Use automated tools or scripts to play the game
• Attempt to manipulate scores, stats, or leaderboards
• Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities (report them to us instead)
• Scrape or copy the game, its data, or its design
• Use Seldom for any commercial purpose without permission

We reserve the right to remove submissions or block access if we detect abuse.

Sharing

You're welcome to share your scores, screenshots, and the emoji grid on social media. That's kind of the whole point. Please link back to playseldom.com when sharing.

Intellectual property

The Seldom name, logo, game design, and puzzle content are owned by us. The answer data (scores and survey results) is our proprietary content. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any of this without our written permission.

No warranty

Seldom is provided "as is." We do our best to keep the game running and the puzzles fair, but we can't guarantee the service will be available at all times or that scores will always be perfectly accurate. It's a game - have fun with it.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Seldom after changes means you accept the new terms. We'll update the date at the top when we make changes.
