Seldom is a free daily trivia game. We collect minimal data to make the game work. We don't sell your data. We don't show ads. We don't track you across the internet.

What we collect

• Game data: Your guesses, scores, and game results are stored so we can show you stats and leaderboards. This data is linked to an anonymous session ID, not your name or email.
• Anonymous session: We use Supabase anonymous authentication to give you a unique session. This lets us track your streak and prevent duplicate submissions. No account or email is required.
• Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how people use Seldom - things like how many people play each day, which features are popular, and where players are from. This data is aggregated and anonymous.
• Local storage: We store your game progress, streak, and preferences in your browser's local storage so you don't lose your progress if you refresh the page.

What we don't collect

• Your name, email, or any personal contact information
• Your location (beyond the country level provided by analytics)
• Any data from other apps or websites
• Payment information (Seldom is free)

Third-party services

• Supabase: Hosts our database and handles anonymous authentication. Their privacy policy.

Cookies

Seldom uses essential cookies for anonymous authentication and Google Analytics cookies for usage statistics. We don't use advertising cookies or tracking cookies.

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. We won't start collecting personal data without telling you first.
